Q. Who hires First Principles Engineering Inc.?
A. Most of our clients are small to medium sporting
good manufacturers looking for creative thinking and solid
Engineering support to compliment their own efforts. We
do, however, also contract to individual entrepreneurs looking
for engineering support to take their new product to market.
Q. I've been designing and building my product for 20
years, why should I hire you?
A. We, at First Principles, believe that our strength
lies in our fresh approach to each problem. By maintaining
a very diverse client base and specializing in 'one off'
new product designs, we free ourselves from the limiting
patterns of history and will set you clearly apart from
the competition. One thing is guaranteed, if anyone ever
asks us why we designed something a certain way, our answer
will always be 'because we believe that's the very best
way to do it', and never simply 'because it's always been
done that way'.
Q. Have I seen anything you've done?
A. Chances are, yes you have. While we have worked on
many projects currently in the public domain, most are the
property of the company who contracted the work, and are
therefore, not ours to advertise. References from non-competing
companies are available for those who enter into a confidentiality
agreement with us. Some of the projects that we can
show you are featured on our
page.
Q. I have a great idea, but I'm afraid to tell anyone
because they might steal my idea. How do I know that I can
trust you?
A. We are licensed Professional Engineers in the business
of new product design. We are bound by a code of ethics
and professional conduct, and our livelihood depends on
it. As well, we ourselves can have several new product ideas
on the go at any one time and, as a result, are equally
as concerned with protecting ourselves, as with protecting
you. Disclosure of patentable ideas is a very serious business
and we treat it as such.
